Rhodes College Pedestrian Bridge

Location:  Memphis, Tennessee The historic Rhodes College in midtown Memphis continues to enhance their campus for its growing student body.  An opportunity arose to purchase a renovated housing facility on North Parkway.  There was no access to the property from the main campus even though the properties shared a common boundary.  Lick Creek separated the two properties. Lick Creek is a concrete lined drainage channel within a 45 foot wide public drainage easement.  The solution for connectivity to the main campus was the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge over the creek. Overton Square Trimble Courtyard

Location:  Memphis, Tennessee Architect:  LRK (Looney Ricks Kiss Architects) The recent revitalization of the historic Overton Square allowed us the opportunity to work on the new Trimble Courtyard which includes a large outdoor stage and magnificent tower featuring giant wind chimes. This courtyard has a capacity for approximately 500 guests. We preformed the structural design on the stage structure as well as the civil engineering design for this area....

Tier 3 Seismic Evaluation of the Odell Horton Federal Building

We performed a Tier 3 Seismic Evaluation of the Odell Horton Federal Building located in the Downtown Memphis Central Business District.  Situated on the bluff, one city block east of the Mississippi River, the building is owned and operated by the U.S. General Services Administration.  It provides space for number of federal agencies including U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, law enforcement agencies, courts, and others.
