Location: Memphis, Tennessee The historic Rhodes College in midtown Memphis continues to enhance their campus for its growing student body. An opportunity arose to purchase a renovated housing facility on North Parkway. There was no access to the property from the main campus even though the properties shared a common boundary. Lick Creek separated the two properties. Lick Creek is a concrete lined drainage channel within a 45 foot wide public drainage easement. The solution for connectivity to the main campus was the design and construction of a pedestrian bridge over the creek. Burr & Cole was the Prime Designer for this 70’ long span by 10’ wide bridge. Location: Danville, Arkansas Architect: Spirit Architecture The building consists of two distinct areas, a Sheriff’s Department and a Jail that includes support areas. The offices are housed in an administration area and the public area is separated from the Sheriff’s area by an electronically secure entry door. Overton Square Trimble Courtyard
Location: Memphis, Tennessee Architect: LRK (Looney Ricks Kiss Architects) The recent revitalization of the historic Overton Square allowed us the opportunity to work on the new Trimble Courtyard which includes a large outdoor stage and magnificent tower featuring giant wind chimes. This courtyard has a capacity for approximately 500 guests. We preformed the structural design on the stage structure as well as the civil engineering design for this area....
