The Rhodes College East Village is a 75,000 square foot, 3 story dormitory designed for upper-class male and female students. Each dorm/apartment included a kitchen, living room and full bathroom. The East Village design also contained a laundry area, conference room and a large meeting area with a patio that connected to the East Village Lodge. This is wood frame and steel construction with shallow foundation. Seismic resistance was provided by plywood shearwalls.
