Overton Square Trimble Courtyard

Location:  Memphis, Tennessee Architect:  LRK (Looney Ricks Kiss Architects) The recent revitalization of the historic Overton Square allowed us the opportunity to work on the new Trimble Courtyard which includes a large outdoor stage and magnificent tower featuring giant wind chimes. This courtyard has a capacity for approximately 500 guests. We preformed the structural design on the stage structure as well as the civil engineering design for this area....

Cromwell Elementary School Addition

This project included a new two-story classroom addition containing classrooms, restrooms, teacher’s work areas, storage, utility areas and mechanical/electrical space.  The new building is be connected to the existing building via a walkway canopy.  There were approximately existing portable classroom buildings that were demolished onsite. A new parking lot and covered playground area were constructed where the portables were located....

Rhodes College West Village Residence Hall

Location: Memphis, Tennessee The Rhodes College West Village provides students with three floors and 52,000 square feet of residence hall space including several common spaces and two fireplaces.  The West Village Residence Hall contains 141 beds.  Half of the living spaces are single room suites while the remaining half is made up of double room suites.  Each living space includes a common kitchen area, living room area and bathroom.  There are laundry facilities on each floor of the structure. In designing this beautiful, Gothic style building, it was important that the structure blend in with the surrounding campus.  The area required site work that would smoothly and attractively connect the new structure to existing campus buildings.
