Burr & Cole has immediate openings for a  Civil Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. Burr & Cole, a consulting engineering firm, is seeking an energetic Civil Engineer / Project Manager with a minimum of 4 – 5 years experience in grading, site development, roadways, utilities and stormwater management The ideal candidate will have the minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Key Responsibilities:

• Construction administration and project management
• Prepare client deliverables including construction documents and specifications, calculation packages, cost estimates and field reports
• Interact with other professionals, clients, contractors, building officials and the general public
• Coordinate elements of projects for senior staff
• Managing projects to meet schedule and budget requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited university
• Master’s degree with a focus on structural engineering, preferred
• TN Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred
• Familiarity with HydroCAD is preferred
• A broad knowledge base in civil engineering
• Strong computer, verbal and written communication skills

Burr & Cole, a consulting engineering firm, is seeking an engineering student for a Civil Engineering Internship opportunity.  The student should be pursuing a degree with an emphasis in Civil engineering.  Students will be working on creative and challenging projects in the Memphis region utilizing a variety of software. The small size of our office will allow you to work very closely on a daily basis with our senior engineers. Our office offers hands on experience in design, construction observation and project documentation.  The position will support the senior engineers in preparation of design documents, civil plans, cost estimates.  You will have the opportunity to make site visits and field inspections. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  The applicant should have a positive attitude, clear communication skills, and a willingness to ask questions and accept constructive feedback.
