The candidate should have or be working toward an engineering degree with an emphasis in structural engineering. The intern hired for the position will have the opportunity to work closely with senior engineers on creative and challenging projects in the Memphis region utilizing BIM software, as well as a variety of structural systems and construction materials. Burr & Cole has immediate openings for a Structural Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. Burr & Cole, a consulting engineering firm, is seeking an energetic Structural Engineer / Project Manager with a minimum of 4 – 5 years experience in building design using steel, concrete, masonry, and timber structural systems. The ideal candidate will have the minimum requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural. Key Responsibilities:

• Building design utilizing IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 530, AISC
• Seismic evaluations and reports applying the principles of ASCE 41
• Bridge design utilizing AASHTO
• Construction administration and project management
• Utilization of Revit, AutoCAD, RAM Structural Systems, and RISA
• Prepare client deliverables including construction documents and specifications, calculation packages, cost estimates and field reports
• Interact with other professionals, clients, contractors, building officials and the general public
• Coordinate elements of projects for senior staff
• Managing projects to meet schedule and budget requirements

Skills / Qualifications:

• Degree in Civil Engineering (with an emphasis in Structural) from an ABET accredited university
• Master’s degree with a focus on structural engineering, preferred
• TN Licensed Professional Engineer preferred
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred
• A broad knowledge base in structural engineering
• Strong computer, verbal and written communication skills
