Location: Memphis, Tennessee The University of Tennessee is the state’s flagship comprehensive institution whose vision is to be the preeminent public research and teaching university linking the people of Tennessee to the nation and the world. In order to move this vision forward, the University needed a state of the art science center. The end result is the UT Basic/Clinical Sciences Research Building. This facility is a 101,370 SF 4 story plus basement composite steel building. This structure was designed to withstand limited vibrations without damage to sensitive scientific instruments. Location: Memphis, Tennessee Architect: Askew Nixon Ferguson Architects Assisted Living Center: This facility is 4 levels above the parking levels. We completed the design for an enlarged ground floor footprint, and three floors above the setback for a total of 135,000 SF of building. Independent Living Center: This structure is a 5 story building plus 2 levels of underground parking garage. It includes a bridge connector to the tower. It has a total area of approximately 224,000 SF. Wellness Center: This is a 1 story building, directly adjacent to the previously existing tower and activities center.
