Location: Shelby County, Tennessee
Burr & Cole evaluated 25 highway bridges in Shelby County and determined their performance during a seismic event.
The bridges were evaluated using three methods: 1) Federal Highway Administration, 2) HAZ-US, and 3) on-site inspections. The results of the evaluation were used to determine emergency services routes for Shelby County after a significant seismic event. The Shelby County Government used the study to assist in routing essential supplies as part of their emergency management preparedness.
